Dimora Storica Muratore - Lecce

Historic 4-room mansion on Lecce's 16th-century walls with infinity pool and private garden

Amenities & Grounds

Dimora Storica Muratore sits directly on Lecce's original 16th-century city walls, a setting that few other hotels in the old town can claim. The private garden, reserved solely for guests, features an infinity pool with shallow end and sun loungers, open all year. Outdoor furniture and a picnic area extend the living space into the lush greenery, while secure parking is available nearby through prior arrangement.

Accommodations

Each of the four ground-floor suites-such as the Deluxe Suite and Junior Suite with Sauna-opens onto a private terrace or balcony with direct garden views. Rooms are soundproofed, allergy-free, and equipped with minibars, air conditioning, and private bathrooms. Baby safety gates and sofa beds are available upon request, making the property family-friendly without sacrificing the intimate scale.

Dining & Experiences

Breakfast, included in the stay, offers a buffet, continental, Italian, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, with local specialties like friselle and bruschetta prepared each morning. Guests can book a traditional Puglian dinner served in the garden, cooked by the owner's mother, or join a cooking class to make orecchiette pasta. The snack bar and happy hour menu provide lighter bites throughout the day.

Wellness & Relaxation

On-site spa facilities include a hammam, steam room, and sauna, available for guest use after a day of sightseeing. The outdoor infinity pool and surrounding garden offer a quiet place for swimming or lounging. Massage treatments can be arranged directly with the family, who live on the upper floor and oversee every detail of guest care.

Location & Nearby Attractions

Sant' Oronzo Square is a 6-minute walk from the hotel, and Lecce Cathedral is 1600 ft away, placing guests in the center of the Baroque old town. The property's position on the city wall means it is quiet at night yet steps from Piazza Mazzini and dozens of restaurants. Car rental and taxi transfers can be arranged through the host, making day trips to Matera, Alberobello, and the Adriatic coast straightforward.
